irgendwo dort 2024. Textile collage, algae printing. 50 x 65 x 1 cm

No longer perceived by contemporary society, older people are being pushed out of the public sphere. Their status is shifting from a socially important person to an overlooked individual. But when exactly does this happen? Immediately upon reaching retirement age? After menopause?

A gradual, quiet, hidden process is underway – the precise moment when this dissolution begins cannot be pinpointed. As losers in the social fabric, elderly people are in a transition to social invisibility.
