The series “somewhere there” presents print-based snapshots of landscapes where, through small changes – time of day, weather, shadows, season – what is usually overlooked comes into focus and then disappears again.

These works visualise the unknown, the uncertainty and the unsettling nature of transformations, but also the curiosity about the opportunities that lie in the smallest of changes.

In this context, the immediate surroundings were examined and objects and atmospheres observed that possess a significance which often goes unnoticed. The works depict the space between the vague and the concrete – a liminal state – where possibilities, abysses, opportunities and risks lie.

A QR code containing a sound was generated for each image, thereby expanding the visual impression to include an auditory component.
