Biography
Olivia Kaufmann is a mixed-media and textile artist who lives in the Uckermark. She was born in Lower Saxony and moved to north-eastern Brandenburg after a career as an entrepreneur. She holds a degree in graphic design, specialising in printmaking, under Professor Tillman Gasch at the Kunstschule Westend, now the Frankfurt Academy for Communication and Design (FAKD), Academy of Visual Arts, Frankfurt am Main.
Olivia Kaufmann has exhibited both in Germany and abroad and has been working full-time as an artist since 2022, specialising in textiles and experimental printmaking.
Works by Olivia Kaufmann are held in private and public collections.
Olivia Kaufmann is the winner of the Trame a Corte Design Award 2025, Italy and
the third-place winner of the Women United Art Prize 2023, in the Collage & Fibre Art category, USA.
She is a member of bbk-Brandenburg e.V., the Friends of the Neubrandenburg Art Collection, VG Bild-Kunst and the European Textile Network.
